Getting Started

Using the Plan Manager

The Plan Manager is your control room for usage, domains, mailboxes and deliverability.

The Plan Manager lives inside each subscription card. Clicking the button opens a full control panel that allows you to manage all aspects of the subscription. Two tabs organize everything: Overview and Domains.

Overview tab

The Overview tab holds a usage widget that pulls live data from your server account. You can refresh it anytime.

What you will see:

  • Storage and bandwidth – bars show how much quota and transfer you consumed against your plan limit (or “Unlimited” for plans without a cap)
  • Domain counts – how many domains and subdomains are already attached versus your allowance
  • Mailbox counts – the current number of mailboxes and aliases plus total inbound/outbound deliveries
  • Forwarder counts – the current number of forwarders

Use this tab before making major changes so you know how much headroom you have or whether you need to upgrade.

Domains tab

The Domains tab is where you will spend most of your time.

Header controls

At the top you get buttons for:

  • Mail SSL Manager – issue or renew certificates that protect IMAP/POP/SMTP endpoints
  • Backups – create or restore full account backups before risky changes
  • IMAP Sync – schedule imports or exports when migrating to or out of SMTP Zen
  • Add Domain – register additional sending or receiving domains under the same plan

A refresh button reloads the domain list if you performed changes elsewhere.

Domain cards

Each domain appears inside its own card with three collapsible sections:

  • Mailboxes – lists existing mailboxes and lets you add, edit or delete them
  • Forwarders – manage aliases that point to external addresses or other team members
  • Email Logs – filter seven days (or more) of delivery data for the specific domain

Quick actions per domain

Right below the collapsible sections you get shortcut buttons for:

  • Spam controls – adjust filtering strength or destination folders per domain
  • Catch-all rules – decide what happens to misaddressed messages (fail, drop or forward)
  • View DNS records – open a modal with every record SMTP Zen expects (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and more)
  • Delete domain – available for any secondary domain.
